Visual Branding & Design Systems
Description:
Identity and branded collateral for “Stars and Stripes,” an art exhibit in that highlighted the multiple interpretations of being an American. Artistic themes included the experiences of immigrant groups and ethnic minorities (especially the Latino community) and questioning the definition of citizenship, all with the aim of fostering a more inclusive national community.
The booklet, researched and written in Spanish, discuses U.S. citizenship from a theoretical standpoint to correspond with the exhibit’s theme and discussion.

Timeless Words
ABOUT THE WORK
Course: GDES-400
Visual Branding & Design Systems
Description:
This poster series for a local, youth-based theater group advertises their summer series of Shakespeare’s comedies. Each poster features a “timeless” word that Shakespeare invented in that particular play. The poster then frames that word in a playfully modern context to inspire more youth and adolescent viewers to attend the show and possibly participate in future productions.

Description:
PROBLEM: American University’s coffee community produces large amounts of waste by using paper cups every time.
SOLUTION: Our group of three coffee-driven, eco-friendly creatives designed a system that would work within the existing coffee shop structure at AU and within students’ hurried timeframes. GreenMug is an app that allows students to pre-order coffee on campus in reusable mugs, and rewards this green behavior by streamlining the coffee pick-up process; this promotes sustainability while giving busy students a way to get their caffeine faster.
