ABOUT THE WORK

Course: GDES-315
Digital & Emerging Media II

Description:

For this project, the challenge was to synthesize a lot of information onto a single page and make it manageable to read and understand. In order to make the content of the page clear, I utilized colored blocks to break up sections. Each color represents a different section which is reflected in the navigation. I wanted this page to have a cool, clean, but artsy feel to it.

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes

ABOUT THE WORK

Course: GDES-220
Digital & Emerging Media I

Description:

I created this site for the imaginary company Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. I created every image used, inspired by the designs used in the Harry Potter movie series. The backgrounds for each page were created with the French Paper Company in mind. I also wrote all of the information included on the site.

Today We’re Believers

ABOUT THE WORK

Course: GDES-315
Digital & Emerging Media II

Description:

In order to please the artists’ niche audience it was important to create an aesthetic appeal that was congruent to Royal Canoe’s music videos, album artwork, and band collateral. Showcasing the artists above the fold was important, as the band members have wider recognition than album artwork.

In order to create an appropriate user experience, interactive elements such as a parallax scroll of bubbles floating as well as a smooth scrolling feature prompts users to move beyond the fold in order to subtly emphasize the importance of scrolling towards the point of purchase.

Pluto Event Website

ABOUT THE WORK

Course: GDES-315
Digital & Emerging Media II

Description:

The goal of this assignment was to: “increase the attendance and strengthen brand loyalty. Provide easy access to all relevant information such as even schedule, location and date very clearly and articulate what makes this event special. Provide compelling and meaningful User Experience to your target audience by taking advantage of jQuery and CSS3 animation capabilities.”

Towards the end of the project we (“we” being a sizable portion of our design class) would have all nighters in 204 with Buffy the Vampire playing on the projector. There was a lot of troubleshooting, take-out, and RedBull.
