Design Show 2012

DESIGN SHOW POSTER

THIS POSTER PROJECT WAS CREATED IN ADVANCED DESIGN 1: SYSTEMS DURING THE FALL ‘11

My goal for this piece was to show a different side of graphic design, to head back to the hand-lettering roots where design started. Inspired by hand-lettering seen in everyday life, and the work of Carolyn Sewell, this piece was centered around the idea that there is a reason designers communicate visually. I used quotes said by teachers and students in the AU Design Dept. as examples of how visuals can sometimes fare better than spoken statements in the lives of graphic designers.
