Eagle Cause

Mobile app prototype,
UX/UI design

As a student in the Game Design program, I have never taken a graphic design course so describing me as nervous would be a severe understatement.

Exploring how the campus could be eco-friendlier was tough, but there is nothing I love more than thinking about how technology can help solve sustainability problems. The idea for Eagle Cause came about through my past work with data mining. Each student’s AU account has so much information about them, why not put that information to good use? With some NFC sensors, an AU account, and an app, suddenly you can track recycling, water usage, and schedules. Find a way to help the campus between classes, or just get tips on how to recycle your drink from the Davenport cafe. Suddenly the school can see how students are doing their part and can target areas where they’re falling behind. With a few coupons here and there, it’s a win-win situation.

While I didn’t quite get all the information/charts to where I wanted, I’m happy with how Eagle Cause came out. Plus, I was able to create some fun animations for some of the screens - make sure to check out how far you are from Starbucks!
