Touch Coch
ABOUT THE WORK
Course: GDES-405
Interactive Media & Mobile Design
Description:
Touch coach teaches first-time smartphone users how to perform simple and advanced touch gestures to make the most out of their devices.
Because Touch Coach was implemented as “Web App” it is lightweight and platform agnostic (So users can interact with the tutorial no matter what OS they run or much storage space they have ). The experience is simplified and it grows more complex with each lesson. Users get instant feedback on what they are doing wrong so they can adjust and move on.
Touch Coach is split in two parts. The first part teaches gestures abstractly, while the second part links those gestures to tasks or actions that can be performed on a mobile environment.

Description:
PROBLEM: American University’s coffee community produces large amounts of waste by using paper cups every time.
SOLUTION: Our group of three coffee-driven, eco-friendly creatives designed a system that would work within the existing coffee shop structure at AU and within students’ hurried timeframes. GreenMug is an app that allows students to pre-order coffee on campus in reusable mugs, and rewards this green behavior by streamlining the coffee pick-up process; this promotes sustainability while giving busy students a way to get their caffeine faster.
