I created this cover for “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini. The glass-covered string leaves the protagonists hands bloody and represents the metaphorical “blood” he is working to avenge. All illustrations created in Photoshop. When you open the cover, the reader’s thumb aligns with the illustration, creating a greater bond between reader and the text.
